- Environmental Product Declarations
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an independently verified and registered document that communicates transparent information about the life-cycle environmental impact of products. EPDs are based on a Life Cycle Assessment, follow the ISO and EN standards and are widely used in the construction sector.
To substantiate our carbon footprint values, we have EPDs for a wide range of our products:
- Structural Hollow Section – EN 10210/EN 10219
- Seamless pipes - EN 10216/ISO 3183
- Welded pipes - EN 10217/EN 10224/EN 10255
Furthermore, we've recently introduced a new EPD for our low-carbon Hollow Structural Sections made with XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel, for tubes manufactured at Fabril with raw material from Sestào, carried out with the Electrical Arc Furnace technology. The EPD document certifies a highly competitive value of 646 kg of CO2-e per tonne of steel tubes produced. This integrated approach allows us to provide transparency and assurance regarding the environmental impact of our products, ensuring that we meet the evolving needs of our customers and the demands of sustainable construction projects.
