Introducing Advanced Laser-Cutting Capabilities at Axame
ArcelorMittal Europe - Tubular Products is pleased to introduce a new era of production capabilities at Axame with the arrival of the ADIGE LT7 laser-cutting machine from BLM GROUP. This advanced equipment enhances our precision and flexibility, enabling us to meet diverse customer requirements with efficiency and accuracy.
The ADIGE LT7 fiber laser cutter offers a powerful 3-4 kW laser source, specifically engineered for various tube sections, including round, square, and rectangular profiles, with diameters up to 152.4 mm. This upgrade allows for automatic bundle and single bar loading, accommodating lengths from 1.9 meters up to 8.5 meters, while the new extended maximum cutting length of 6.5 meters opens the door for longer and more complex cuts. Enhanced with the Active Scan feature to continuously adjust for dimensional variations, this machine ensures that each cut aligns precisely with customer specifications.
The addition of this laser cutter enables Axame to better serve critical industries, such as construction and renewable energy, by expanding our ability to handle a broader range of materials, including aluminum and stainless steel, with high efficiency. Whether managing large-scale projects or specialized, smaller orders, the flexibility of the LT7 ensures that we can respond swiftly and accurately to diverse customer needs.
Axame’s integrated solutions span from tube production to final processing, including a full range of materials like black tubes (EN10219), coated sendzimir tubes, and Magnelis® tubes. Our capabilities also cover cutting, bending, shrinking, and welding operations—executed through a combination of automated robotics and skilled manual handling. With this latest investment, Axame has doubled its production capacity, further strengthening its position as a leader in tube manufacturing and customized solutions.
In keeping with ArcelorMittal’s commitment to sustainability, the LT7 incorporates energy-efficient processes that reduce waste and optimize material usage, contributing to our broader environmental goals to reduce the footprint of production.
