Chevillon celebrates 17 years without a lost-time accident

At ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Chevillon, safety is more than a priority, it is part of the site's culture. That commitment was recently celebrated with an exceptional milestone: 17 consecutive years without a lost-time accident.

To mark the occasion, employees gathered for a special celebration where Christophe Gérard, Plant Manager of Chevillon, symbolically added the 17th metal leaf to the site's Safety Tree, representing another year of safe operations. The team also came together for a group photo, received commemorative gifts, and enjoyed lunch together in recognition of this remarkable achievement.

The celebration was attended by Jimmy Smeets, Chief Operating Officer, Vincent Taupin, Plant Manager of Hautmont, and other members of the team who joined the Chevillon group in recognizing this outstanding safety record.

Opening the celebration, Christophe Gérard congratulated all employees and highlighted that this achievement is the result of the remarkable attitude and commitment shown by every colleague, every day.

Reflecting on the milestone, Vincent Taupin said:

"Safety is a collective success, but above all, it is an individual success. Each of us must always take the time to think before acting so that we continue to return home safely."
