Health & Safety Week 2024: Empowering Our Teams Across ArcelorMittal Europe - Tubular Products

Our production sites marked H&S Week with a series of meaningful activities dedicated to well-being, health, and safety.

At ArcelorMittal Europe - Tubular Products, we are committed to fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all our employees. HAP Week 2024 provided an excellent opportunity for each of our production sites to organize unique activities that aligned with our shared mission of well-being and safety. Here’s a closer look at the initiatives held at each site:

  • Altensteig: Hosted a lecture on healthy nutrition and an interactive breakfast, conducted a fire drill, and organized a first aid course to keep safety skills sharp.
  • Berrioplano: Focused on health screenings, including flu vaccinations, eye control exams, audiometry, and electrocardiograms to promote preventative care.
  • Chevillon: Held a 4 km team walk, distributed healthy fruit and honey, administered flu vaccines, and tested heated vests for comfort and safety during winter.
  • Hautmont: Collaborated with local firefighters for a road accident simulation and working-at-height exercises, held a noise awareness workshop, and conducted personalized ear impression fittings.
  • Iasi: Offered a Golden Rules workshop on workplace safety, first aid drills, health screenings, and distributed online resources about stress management, healthy nutrition, and seasonal health.
  • Karviná: Brought employees together for a netball tournament, a lecture on health science, a nutritious team meal, and first aid training focused on sudden workplace health incidents.
  • Legutio: Focused on physical fitness with sports and outdoor activities, first aid and defibrillator training, and team participation in a community race in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
  • Lexy, Rettel, and Vincey: Conducted evacuation drills, trained on accident response, hosted a workshop on disabilities in the workplace, and introduced a session on sophrology for stress management.
  • Roman: Organized a wide range of health-focused activities, including various sports, healthy meals, board games, psychologist-led meetings, and painting walls and halls for a refreshed workspace.
  • Vitry: Hosted a sophrology workshop to promote mental wellness and stress resilience and invited Lucas Creange, a Paralympic table tennis athlete, to share his journey and inspire the team.
  • Zalain: Held a functional fitness class to encourage healthy physical activity among employees.

These diverse activities not only underscored our commitment to health and safety but also brought our teams closer together, reinforcing our dedication to each other’s well-being.
