The 6th stage of the Tour de France, which will take place on Thursday, 7 July, will link Binche, in Belgium, to Longwy, in Meurthe-et-Moselle. During this stage, the riders will cross the town of Lexy, and pass by the ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products site.
The ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products site in Lexy, a historical site of the Group and a flagship of the metallurgy industry, employs 90 people and is the main production site for Véritube, the 100% French steel tube label launched by ArcelorMittal last year.
In order to contribute to this festive moment, and to promote our know-how, ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products teams set up on Wednesday, 6 July a steel bicycle, produced on the site, and entirely made of Véritube tubes. The bike, measuring 4 metres, will stay for a month in front of the Lexy site.
The structure was inaugurated by Mr. Gérard ALLIERI, Mayor of Lexy, on Wednesday, 6 July, during his visit to the ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products site.
