Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is widely used technology for the automated exchange of documents between business partners. It allows partners to exchange purchase orders, invoices, advance ship notices, test reports, and other business documents directly from one business system to the other, without human intervention.

The Tubular Products Division of ArcelorMittal, has been working with EDI transaction set for over 20 years. EDI offers our business units and customers a number of competitive advantages:

  • Lower Administrative Costs
  • Reduction in paper handling
  • Reengineering processing methods
  • Increase Customer Relations

Currently the Tubular Products Division of ArcelorMittal has the ability to process the following standards

  • Edifact (European standards)
  • X12 (United States standards)
  • XML (new internet method)
